HIDDEN PORTS
Looking for a clean look without all of the air lines and fittings? Then here's the tank for you! Or, flip it around and show off those fittings! It's your set up. Do what you want with it! Either way, we've brought all of the ports to the face of the tank, including the drain port. Not only does this give you more ground clearance (so you don't drag your draincock fitting on the driveway - the truck guys will understand this) but it also tightens up the width of the tank since there's no ports or fittings protruding out of the end caps. WHERE'S THE DRAIN PORT???
This is another industry first for AVS! We are the first to incorporate a gravity/pressure fed port with an internal pickup tube to purge that nasty, mucky water out of your tank. We include a 1/4" Schraeder fitting to install on the drain port. Simply remove the valve stem cap and press in the valve stem to release any moisture from inside of the tank. We also offer a 6-foot remote draincock setup as an upgrade. Simply install the Push Connect elbow fitting into the drain port, plug in the 6-ft of 1/4" air line, then push on the female Push Connect fitting and draincock. You can tuck the draincock behind a trunk panel until you need it. When it's time to drain, simply pull it out from behind the panel and hang it out the back of the trunk. Crack open the draincock and let her rip!
MOUNTING
“M.P.M.” stands for Multi Position Mounting. Having separate mounting straps, instead of welded fixed mounting brackets, our straps allow you to keep the air tank in the correct orientation that is needed for the drain port to function properly, while you rotate the straps to any position that you need to mount the tank. The tank can be hung from the rear package tray of a car, rotated to the backside for mounting against a crossmember on the frame of a truck or rotated downwards for mounting to a trunk or bed floor. With a 360-degree mounting capability, this should cover just about every mounting situation you may encounter.
STEEL MOUNTING STRAPS
One pair of zinc plated steel mounting straps are included. The mounting straps also include a NEOPRENE foam that sticks on the inside of the strap to prevent the strap from scratching the tank when securing it. We purposely left the Neoprene foam off of the straps in case you want to paint or powder coat the straps.
